Do fad diets actually work?



Well, in a way yes they do work. But, and this is a big but, they will not keep you healthy or safe, and
they will not mean long lasting weight loss. Fad diets are dangerous to all that try them and they can

Fad diets are diets that are based around certain gimmicks. These gimmicks can vary from diet to diet.
Some require you to cut out certain food groups such as bread, potatoes, fat and other foods. Some of

Cutting out food groups altogether is never a good idea. Believe it or not, fat is needed to survive. Cutting
out all the fat in your diet will not make you lose weight any faster than just cutting down on the amount
of fat. Every food groups provides something that the body needs to survive. Cutting these food groups out
will only serve to harm your body.

The reason so many people, including celebrities, are taken in by fad diets, is that they promise fast and
easy results. Weight loss doesn’t have to be difficult if done correctly. Fad diets are definitely not the way
to go.

The fad diets are typically very low in the daily calorie intake and there is virtually no fat in the diet. So,
there is a good chance that you will lose weight, but could you eat one type of food for the rest of your life
to make sure the weight stays off? Fad diets are also notoriously restricting. This makes you more likely
to falter and fall off the diet before you finish. This only harms your self confidence and your weight loss
regime.

The best and most original way to lose weight is to eat a balanced and nutritious diet and to exercise
regularly. If you do this, you are much more likely to succeed. Don’t restrict foods out of your diet and
allow yourself to have a treat every now and again. This makes you more likely to enjoy your diet and be
successful with it.
